Good Afternoon!

Well yesterday was not so much a productive day. I needed a break after stitching for the past 4 days. My wrists do tend to ache after a while and my eyes were really sore. Of course in this day and age most peoples lives revolve around staring at screens from TV screens to cell phone screens and we all need to remember to take a break and actually look at the beauty of nature outside. So I did, I took a little walk to the corner store and came back. Yes it was a short walk but it was cold outside so forgive me for not wanting to stay out longer than necessary.

My fiancee came back from his weekly local Yu-Gi-Oh tournament last night saying there are these two kids he sometimes teaches how to play the game and afterwards he was talking to their mother and she gave him this great little bit of information for me of this local gathering in June where I can purchase a table and sell some of my items there. I was looking into that this morning. I was going to get a table at the two local comic cons we have here and sell some of my items as well as share the table with my fiancee who does graphic design work and makes game mats to play on for Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, and Magic the Gathering. But the local comic cons aren't until August and October.

Now I need to buckle down and make more than just my geeky cross stitch. The market for a craft gathering is more than just the gamer crowd I need to make something that will appeal to everyone. A lot of small items too. So I had these little cupcake Christmas Ornaments that I made for myself but I lost the pattern to them a long time ago. Luckily I got myself some graph paper so I can make my own patterns and I drew up a new copy of the pattern for the four cupcakes. I also picked some much better colours than what I had originally used. Originally I had some cheap embroidery floss from Wal-Mart and in the package I got some really shiny thread and I really wanted to use it so I did on the cupcakes. Now the thread is awful to work with because it is so slippery, it was really only good for when the thread knotted and I could undo the knot really easily. It was also really great to make a really long length of braided string to play with my cats with. I found they didn't chew through it as easily as normal embroidery thread and their claws didn't get stuck in it so much.

I am about to make a bunch of cupcakes now so I can attach some braided string to some for ornaments and attach some magnets onto others for fridge magnets. Wish me luck and hope that my fingers don't get too cramped up today. I don't know how many I will get done today as cross stitching is very time consuming. So I hope you all have a great day. Before I go here is a picture of the original cupcakes I made. I have them on my Christmas Tree every year and I think they are so cute.

I also have them for sale on my Etsy store here: https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/Taraforming. There you can pick some different colours for yourself if you wanted some specific colours for them. I will be updating the picture on the store soon with my new colours I have chosen as soon as I get some finished.

Thank You for reading and I hope everyone has a Fantastic day!!!
