Drunken Weekend and Cross Stitch stuff

Well Hello,

So it's been a pretty long weekend. On Friday I had a family dinner with my fiancees mother and brothers and their girlfriends because it was his mother's birthday. We went to this dive bar restaurant. They kept telling me that the food there was cheap and really good and I am starting to think that their idea of good food is actually dog food. So the service there sucked so bad and our waitress was so dumb. When she started bringing out the food she waited forever to bring out everyone's, so my fiancee got his first and was about done eating it by the time the other people got theirs. I was the last to get mine and it was kind of awkward sitting there when other people are eating and I'm still waiting on my food. The food wasn't even good either. It tasted over cooked and like it was sitting on the counter forever. I will never go to that place again.

On top of all of that food business the waitress couldn't even get the bills right. She put our plate of nachos on his brothers bill. She showed my fiancee a bill for $47 and charged him $20. We were doing some drinking that night also. So it was like we were drinking for free. And she kept bringing over free shots and drinks saying it was on her. She also brought over a shot for herself and took it while she was working. I was completely unimpressed and I would never go to that place ever again. She's basically stealing from the bar for giving out so much free booze. Oh yeah and she over poured the drinks so gave out double drinks instead of single ones. Wow I have no idea how that bar is still standing. It was full of a bunch of gross old people too. It was definitely not my kind of place and I would never tell anyone to go there. In fact I would tell people to stay away from that place and go to a better one.

So on top of that I was really tipsy when I got home and then proceeded to tell my fiancee we had to play The Division Beta that was open this weekend. While I drank down the three coolers I had left in the fridge I was so hammered when we were playing but I wasn't too bad at shooting people. Needless to say after tequila shots and sugar drinks I had an awful hangover the next day.

So right now I am trying to figure out what to stitch next. I finished the Pinkie Pie cross stitch I was working on:

It's super cute. I just need to iron it a bit and next time I would definitely need a smaller frame or to measure it out first and then space it out better. I bought this frame for display purposes and now I'm thinking when I get some money in I should get a couple more sizes. I started on a Rainbow Dash one but lost a bit of interest in doing the same thing over again for all of the main ponies. If anyone wants a different pony I can definitely make up a pattern for it. This is also posted on my Etsy store here: https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/Taraforming

Now I was just wondering what to work on next and since my sisters wedding is coming up in May I have decided to make her a wedding Cross Stitch for her home. I showed her a few different pictures that I liked and she choose this really pretty tree one. It will have their names and their wedding date on it. I may include a pretty saying in it. I wanted to do this really pretty one with doves but she said the tree one matched her house theme better. So that's what I'm going to do.

XOXO

Stuff and Things

Hey Everyone,

I just woke up stupidly early today and I couldn't fall back asleep for the life of me. You know those times where you are laying there and trying to sleep and your mind keeps going through all of your past jobs and shitty moments and thinking of things you'd rather not think of? That's what my stupid mind was doing today. So you know what screw that and screw this day. Now I need to calm down maybe do some work and hopefully take a nap later and everything will be alright.

So I have those bookmarks done and I have posted them in my shop on Etsy if you wanted to check them out here's the link: https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/Taraforming

If you wanted to follow me on twitter I post links to my new projects there and give you a heads up when my new blog is out as well as tweeting random things I feel like sharing about me: https://twitter.com/Tara99_123

I also have a Facebook page that I don't use too much right now. Unsure of what to really post there as I am all over my other social media and I really don't care much for Facebook but if you wanted to like my page there I promise not to spam your news feed: https://www.facebook.com/Taraforming-559956864159328/?ref=aymt_homepage_panel

Holy crap Facebooks link is awful full of numbers and crap. I tried to shorten it like I do my Etsy one but Facebook is having none of that. Anyway want to see my new bookmarks well I can post the images here:

This cupcake one is super cute and I made it while thinking of my sister because she loves cupcakes. I asked her what colours to do and she just said Pink!!! So I did the bulk of it in pink and purple because I love purple. I can also stitch it up in different colours if you have some different favourite colours.

Here is the other one that I finished. I love it because it looks like something my Grandma would have made into an awful clashing blanket like the blanket I am currently using on my lap right now. All of my stitches can be done in different colours if you would like you just need to message me and I can do it right away.

Now I am almost done a new My Little Pony Pinkie Pie picture. It's super cute and I love her because she really lightens the mood although if I actually knew someone like her I think it would drain all of my energy real fast since I am such an introverted person. But seeing how cute and funny she is in the show really lightens my mood. I also need to get up some better pictures in my store of a lot of my posts. I am hoping that will get people to view them more and hopefully buy something. I am really discouraged with my store right now because no one has bought anything yet. I don't know what's wrong. I'm trying to make a living off of this but I may have to find another shitty ass job to help pay the bills if things don't pick up soon. All I wanted was to do something I loved for a living and not have to work under any more shitty ass management who don't give a fuck about you or how they are ruining everything by all of the shitty changes they make to make life harder on you so they can make more money for their already loaded pockets while we all strive to survive on minimum wage. Oh well I think I can hold out for one more month and hope my good dreams come true.

Thanks for reading

Happy Family Day!

Hey Hey

I hope everyone had a great Valentines day! I spent the day baking some goodies, Made some Amish Cinnamon Bread and some Lemon Pound Cake. Both are super delicious. My fiancee had to work so it was a nice surprise for him when he came home to some goodies on the counter. Then we made some dinner together, played some Destiny, and watched a couple of episodes of some new animes that came out. It was actually a good day in the end.

I spent some time drawing up some new designs for what project I wanted to do next. I came up with this really cute My Little Pony design for Pinkie Pie. I think I'm going to start on that today. Maybe after I finish my two bookmarks that have been sitting there. I was trying to come up with a solution to stop the fabric from moving around so much when I'm sewing it on. I think if I safety pin it then it should be alright. I didn't want to use sewing pins because I didn't want to accidentally poke myself while I'm holding it. I hate it when you stick yourself with a pin while sewing something. I actually stuck my finger a couple of times sewing up some bookmarks and it was with a cross stitch needle that's duller than a sewing needle.

Have a great Family Day today!

Got Some Work Done Today!

Finally! I am feeling so much better today!

Hello,

So I finally got some work done today! Woo. Last night I came up with a great idea to download some audio books and to do some stitching while listening to them. It was great I got so much work done today. It helps that I was working off of a paper pattern that I drew. So I finished a whole bookmark today. Normally it would have taken me a couple of days. Although my eyes do feel strained and I feel sleepy, I may lay down after this to rest. I am so proud of myself. I was listening to the first Harry Potter book and things just seemed to get done today. Of course I have read those books a few times each and the earlier books probably over 5 times each.

So what I did today was this cute cupcake bookmark that says Bite Me. I love it. I would post a picture but after I finished it I braided up some string for that one and the square one I finished a few days ago and now they are sitting letting the glue dry so the string stays in place forever. Now I will let them sit overnight for the glue to completely dry. Tomorrow I will choose some fabric to stitch to the backs of them and finish them and then post them on my store. Whew. Now I am wondering what project I should work on next. I am not sire myself. I think I'm going to go rest and think about it.

Also, the Deadpool movie was amazing! I loved it. It was so Deadpool and funny and also really stupid funny with Deadpool humor. There was some great action in it also. I recommend watching it even if you wanted to wait for it to come out on video it is so worth a watch. They did an amazing job on that movie and I hope there's a second one. I would love to go and watch it again.

Now I;m going to go and rest for a couple of hours and then probably play some video games to relax while I think up some ideas of my next project to do. I do have a butterfly bookmark I drew up but I've been really wanting to do something with Mario and something more with Tetris. Any ideas you would like to see me do post them in the comments and I'll draw something up.

XOXO

DEADPOOL!!!

Hey, Hey,

Today is a special day!!!

It's Deadpool day!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

So I already bought some advance tickets to see the new Deadpool movie that came out today here. Well technically it had an early release last night but since my fiancee has today off we're going to see it this afternoon!!! I can't wait!

Wow so many exclamations. So here's the plan. We're going to hop on a bus down the block because it is horribly cold outside. In this weather it would probably take us about a 20 minute walk to get down the street to the card shop where I'm going to bring in my doubles of my Pokemon cards to trade in. Yes I collect Pokemon cards. Gotta catch em all. I don't play the card game I just like to collect all of the cards. My fiancee plays Yu-Gi-Oh and has probably over 7 binders full of Yu-Gi-Oh cards. He goes to weekly tournaments at the card shop down the street. He taught me how to play but I'm not very good. I mostly bribe him to lose so I can win. Plus I only like to play cute decks or super awesome fiendish decks.

OK! So after the card shop we're going to go next door to this butcher shop that also cooks burgers and such. Really big burgers that are so good and you don't get bloated after because they use they're own butcher cut meat. I swear the best burger places are the ones that are also butcher shops. OMG I want a charbroiled burger so bad. They have the best burgers I have ever eaten. Coming in second is the other butcher shop just a couple blocks away from where I live that we also buy our meat from because they use only free range animals. OK now I have burgers on the brain and I really want one right now. Good thing we're going to be leaving soon.

I like to get to the theater early normally to grab a good seat but since we already have our seats picked out I like to chill and get hyped before the movie. Plus the theater we go to now has these amazing big comfortable double recliner seats. So when you get your tickets you also have to pick the seats you will be sitting in. We had an awful time with the Star Wars movie. There were only front row seats and the movie was in 3D and we sat off to the side. OMG it made the 3D blurry and gave me a huge headache I could barely watch the movie. It's just my opinion but I HATE 3D movies. I will always choose a regular movie over a stupid 3D one.

So not a lot of craft talk in this email... I wasn't feeling so great the last couple of days. I finally finished that bookmark I was stitching just need to attach fabric to the back and I got a couple of new cute cupcake ones drawn up.

I guess that's all I'm way too excited for Deadpool!!! I do have a Deadpool Christmas ornament in my Etsy store I can also put a magnet on the back of it so it can be a fridge magnet. Or you could use it as a sew on patch. I think I posted a picture of it in one of my previous posts but here it is again.

It's super awesome like Deadpool himself and looks so great in my Christmas tree. You can buy it here in my store: https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/Taraforming

As always thanks or reading and I hope you all have a wonderful day!!!

Feeling So Much Better!!!

Good Evening!

I am feeling so much better today! Ah it feels good not to be stuck in bed all day with absolutely no energy at all. Especially with an awful stuffed up nose and cough. Yuck, I hate being sick.

So I actually got some work done today YAY!!! Not on my Pokemon Cross Stitch but on a bookmark that I kind of started a while ago. I started the border and got about one and a half squares done before I started to work on something else. Now I'm going to finish it up and post it in my store as soon as it's finished.

There is what I have done so far and my pattern I drew up beside it. For the pattern I found some graph paper at Staples that was perfect for drawing up Cross Stitch designs. Let me find the package to see what size it is. It says it is 10 : 1" and it is the perfect size fro drawing up new designs. I only wish the graph went all the way to the edges of the paper instead of being in a box. I may look for some other kinds as soon as I use up the paper I have now. Here is what the package looks like.

At first I tried to use regular graph paper but the squares were way too big and the patterns always looked distorted and used up way too much paper. Then until I found this stuff I just drew extra lines with a pencil in between each line in the regular graph paper. That seemed to work but every time you messed up and had to erase something you had to draw your lines back in and it is much easier to see the squares using this paper instead.

First I draw up my design and then I line it with a black liner pen. Even if I don't use black in the stitch I always draw it in with the black liner pen. Then I colour it in with whatever colours I think would look nice. After that or when I am about to stitch it I choose the embroidery floss colours I want to use and note them down on the pattern. I only use DMC embroidery floss. I tried using some no name from Wal-Mart and it was horrible and rough stuff. I like how nice and soft the DMC colours are. I love opening up my drawer and seeing all of the pretty colours staring at me.

Well that is all for now. I wanted to get this stitch done before I go to sleep because I have an awesome idea for a cute cupcake bookmark next. I have a lot of ideas floating in my head and not enough time in the day to do them all.

XOXO

Tara.

Them Sick Days

Hi Hi,

Sorry about the unexpected hiatus. Just wanted to let you all know that I am alright. I have this really terrible cold, that the worst fiancee in the world gave me, so not a lot of work at all has been done. I am feeling a bit better today and hopefully I can resume my work tomorrow. Just wanted to let you all know. Now back to sleep for me.

Epic Pokemon Cross Stitch

Hey Guys!

So I started on the Epic Pokemon Cross Stitch for the generation one Pokemon a couple of days ago. It is going so slowly. There are so many different colours for just one Pokemon that it's hard getting just one done a day so far. Also I have been feeling a little under the weather.

So I started by counting out and basting a border around the cross stitch. I counted 5 squares every baste. I left room of about 5-10 squares between the border and where I was going to start to stitch. So the pattern in 256 Stitches across and 450 Stitches high. I am using 18 count Aida cloth. I really need one of those scroll frames to attach my cloth to. It would make it so much easier to stitch. All I have right now is a hoop and I hate how it leaves a dent in the fabric. Of course I iron it out when I am finished but I can always still see some dents where the hoop was. Normally the things I have stitched have been inside the hoop or just went over but this is the first really huge cross stitch I have done in a very long time.

I have most of Bulbasaur done except for some little colours and I started on Ivysaur and have a bit of the green for Metapod in there. That was about 2 days of work. Of course this week has been a little busy and the first day I didn't actually start until around 6pm and the second day I had my landlord come over for some electrical issues we were having.

Sadly I didn't get any work done today. It was gorgeous out today except for being really windy but I went to the movies with my mother in law and my fiancees brothers girlfriend. We just went to see Kung Fu Panda 3. It was super cute. Also, my wrist has been aching so bad today. I think there is a storm coming.  It really sucks trying to stitch and having your wrist hurt so badly. Nothing really gets done that way. My fiancee has had a cold too and I've been feeling a little unwell, I hope I'm not catching it too. My wrist is even killing me right now writing this so I don't think I can get any stitching done today. I think I'm going to eat a big supper and rest and hope I feel better in the morning.

So here's what I have done so far on the Pokemon Cross Stitch:

I am unsure right now if I want to add it to my store to sell or if it's just going to be a one and done kind of thing. I definitely have more fabric so I could make a second one, but I think this one is going to take around 150 days at least to finish. So like 4 months. I'll give myself around 6 months to finish it around other projects I will be doing and other things I will have to stitch when people buy them. That's a long time to stitch something and it's driving me crazy already. Of course I do feel guilty when I don't stitch something a day. I hate those days when nothing creative gets done.

Well that's all for now. My head just started to ache and I think I may be coming down with that stupid cold my fiancee has :( Damn Him!!! I will get my revenge on him! I hate being sick.

Thanks for reading!

Rainy Day Trip and Video Game Drama

Good Night Everyone.

I had a long day but it was an alright day. Was almost going to say a good day but I got cranky at the end of the day here. So it was a really crappy and rainy day here and I really needed to get out of the house. My fiancee had the day off of work so I decided I wanted to go to the mall. I wanted to pick up some more fabric to stitch onto the backside of any bookmarks I make and I really wanted to pick up some incense and some candles. Of course as soon as we left the house it started to rain. I just grabbed a hat and off we went to the bus stop. Luckily google is amazing and tells us exactly when the bus is going to arrive so we were there right in time and only had to wait for a minute before it came. By the time we got to the mall the rain had pretty much stopped. Of course that was the way it worked out. I didn't want to wait for the next bus because it's Sunday and they only come every hour on Sundays.

Well I really wanted some ramen but the damn place that makes it in the food court doesn't do ramen on Sundays like really? I love mall food court food. I don't know what it is about a food court in the mall but their food is always so good. So I got all of my shopping done and we were having a good time and my bestie came down to visit so she met us at the mall. It was great. She got some catnip pillows from me that she ordered and her cats love them. I had to hide them from my cats because they love the nips too.

After that me and the fiancee played some of The Division that we had the Beta test for and it's really fun. I can't wait to play it when it comes out in March. Today was the last day for the Beta I believe. I actually had a lot of fun in the PvP area. I normally avoid those areas because I'm not the best at shooter games but in this game it was so much fun. Of course playing with my fiancee normally ends up with us fighting because he gets whiny and I want to run around and get lots of loot. The last straw this time was when we were at an extraction zone where a bunch of people were there and you really can't trust anyone so I wanted to quickly get my loot to the helicopter before someone killed me because I had a blue gun I wanted to bad. Of course that was the time that some random person threw a grenade at us. I got the loot sent off and I tried to book it out of there but my fiancee just had to start shooting at the person and because we were in a group it made both of us go rogue so any player can see we were red. I still tried to run and then the good players started shooting at me. I almost died. Fiancee was grumpy because he thought I had his back but I was like dude I had a blue gun and I was booking it out of there so no one could steal it from me. I was grumpy because he turned both of us red and then the other players thought we were also the ones trying to kill them. Ugh. Then I found out that you can't kill the players you're in a group with, after we were safe and I tried to kill my fiancee. Damn him. Turns out he didn't get his extraction sent off so I was leading him to another place and he was being all whiny and just dumped his loot saying it was all junk anyway. Pfft. Loot it loot even if it's junk you can still sell it.

So that was my day. Not a lot of stitching got done. But I did pull out my huge piece of Aida Cloth for my Epic Pokemon Generation One Cross Stitch and started a border around the piece so I knew how big I needed it to be. Turns out my pattern is off with the dimensions. It says it's 256 Stitches wide and 450 High. But I counted out 260 Wide and the dimensions seem off. It also says it should be around 72cm long but 256 Stitches Wide is only 30 something cm long. I have 18 Count Aida Cloth like it says so I guess I'm just going to have to start to stitch a row and see how big it's actually going to be. I think the stitches posted are wrong. 250 Stitches Wide looks like it won't be big enough. Well I have enough cloth for it either way. I made sure to get a huge enough piece just in case. Plus I can use any leftover scraps for other projects.

It's time for bed now I can barely keep my eyes open. I hope you all have a good night and I will post how my Epic Pokemon Cross Stitch goes as I stitch it.

XOXO

Well Hello

Hello There!!!

So I just finished my new Tetris bookmark! It's super cool and I love it. Of course if you wanted to buy one you can go to my Etsy store and purchase it at anytime! https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/Taraforming

Here's a picture of the awesome!

I love it and it is stitched on 16 count Aida cloth. Of course I drew up a couple of different designs and if you wanted a design made with more of your favourite Tetris pieces or your favourite colours I can accommodate you. I stitched a piece of orange fabric onto the back of this one but if you wanted a different colour I can most definitely accommodate you on that too. I used a piece of braided string to attach to the top of it for use as a tassel because who doesn't love a nice tassel.

Now back to work for me. I have a cool new design I want to stitch up.
Thanks for reading!!!

Breaks and Busy

Well Hello There!

So sorry I haven't posted in a couple of days. Let's just say that I took a break on Thursday and only got a little bit of my Tetris bookmark done. Then I really needed to play some video games. My Fallout 4 was being so neglected and I was afraid it was going to run away on me. Well I got the bookmark done today finally and it is sitting aside right now waiting for the braided tassel to dry before I can stitch a piece of fabric onto the back of it. I'll finish it tomorrow or should I say later this morning.

I didn't really get a lot done earlier today either. My fiancee told me that The Division Beta test started this morning and I played it for a bit. It was actually really good. A little glitchy right now but it is the Beta Test after all and I just wish I had the game right now because so much stuff is locked.

Right now though inspiration hit and I just drew up 3 different patterns for new bookmarks. I love 2 of them but I'm not so sure about the third one. I'm going to have to wait until I line it and colour it before I figure out if I really do like it or not... actually I just came up with a great idea for the colours so let's hope it works out.

Well I am sorry but I think that is all for right now. I just started really yawning and I really wanted to get these last 2 drawings at lest lined before I crawl into bed. I'll post more tomorrow or in fact later today so you can all see how my Tetris bookmark turned out and then post it on my Etsy store. Well I actually drew up a couple of different Tetris designs so I could stitch up a few different ones. But I only stitched up one for now. It's super cool but more on that later.

Is there anything you would like to see me stitch? Any cute animals or favourite games? Cool designs? Let me know and I'll see what I can come up with. Now here is a random selection of some thing that I have stitched... how about... oh this cute fox ornament I stitched up. I love foxes and think they are so adorable. I think they are my favourite animal and if I could have one as a pet I most definitely would have one.

Got Some Work Done!

Hey Guys!!!

So I got some work done yesterday. I finally finished the Four Cupcakes that I wanted to give them some new and much better colours. I updated them in my Etsy shop and they are looking super cute. So I can attach some string onto them and make them as Christmas Ornaments, or glue a magnet onto the backs to be used as a fridge magnet. I stitched them on 18 Count Aida cloth this time and they turned out a little small so next time I would use 16 Count instead. I just only had some spare 18 Count laying around and I really needed to buy some more fabric which I did this weekend when I went to Michael's. Here's the new and improved cupcakes:

Now the Crown one looks so regal, the Mistletoe one looks extra Christmassy, and the Heart one looks super cute and Valentinesy.

Now the next project I got done was the cute flowery bookmark I was working on. I wanted to stitch 2 sides of the flowers but after finishing the one side and sticking it in a book to see I thought 2 sides would be too thick. So I braided some string to use as a little tassel and glued it on and left it overnight to dry. This morning I picked out a piece of fabric and stitched it onto the backside of the bookmark. It's really cute.

I will be adding this to my Etsy store soon. Also last night I drew up a new design for a Tetris style bookmark. I started stitching it up this morning also and I will post it as soon as it is done. I think I need to buy some more different fabric to match all the different things I wanted to do. But first I really need to get back to work. Thanks for reading.

Excitedness!!!

Good Morning... Oh wait it's Afternoon now.
GOOD AFTERNOON!!!

So I am excited right now, my fiancee finally helped me to create my own Facebook page for my Taraforming shop on Etsy! Which really all I needed was for him to finally make me a cover photo for it. Took him a while and I am not really liking the background image he chose but my Facebook page is finally up and running. Taraforming on Facebook
So follow that link to go to the Facebook page. It's new just now so there's not a lot posted on there right now. But if you like my stuff then feel free to like the page.

ALSO... More stuff to be excited about!!! I finally got that huge chunk of Aida Cloth I was waiting for forever, so I can start stitching that Huge Pokemon Generation One Cross Stitch I have been wanting to do forever now!!! I AM SO EXCITED CAN YOU TELL? Of course you can I used caps lock and lots of exclamation marks.

But first I really need to finish the last of the cupcakes I was stitching. I just have the icing on the last one to do and I really wanted to finish the bookmark I started yesterday. It's going to be a full day of work but I need to get those done. I hate having unfinished pieces sitting there forever but I get so excited sometimes to start something new that sometimes they do end up sitting there for a while before I get back to them. Well not too long maybe a week before I really need to get back to them. I love seeing the finished product of something I have worked so hard to stitch. My most favourite stitch has to be the Princess Celestia one I did. I made this huge project for my fiancee for Christmas with all Six of the My Little Ponies from the show sleeping. They're so cute and then I Stitched 3 of the background ponies, Derpy, Vinyl Scratch, and Princess Celestia. It all took about 2 months so stitch together mostly because I had to make sure he didn't see what I was doing. So Princess Celestia took around 2 weeks. She is so beautiful and I love her the most out of everything I did. I am working on a Princess Luna one now that is taking a while. But Celestia is so gorgeous with her colorful hair.

So gorgeous I love her. Anyway I need to get back to stitching so I can start on the Pokemon Cross Stitch soon.

Those Blah Days

Hey Guys,

Blah today is a blah day. Do you know those days where you feel blah and down in the dumps no matter what? Well I'm having one of those days right now.

So last night I was working forever on drawing up this cute pattern. I didn't know what I wanted to do with it but I just really needed to be creative. Well I drew up this really cute colorful abstract flowery thing. It's awesome and I started stitching it up today unsure of what I was going to do with it so I cut a piece of 18 count Aida cloth into 8 1/2 X 11 making sure to leave some extra room on the sides. I was going to stitch it into a picture size but them partway through stitching the first colour I noticed that it would make a really cute bookmark. I only got the first colour and a little bit of the second colour done before I needed a break. So here it what I have done so far:

It's going to be so cute when it's done. I am going to stitch 2 sides and then sew them together and maybe braid some string to attach to it like a tassel. I also glue up the edges so they don't fray. I think I'm going to make a series of bookmarks and put them up in my store.

Also I don't think I told you this but I ordered a HUGE piece of Aida cloth online because I wanted to stitch up the huge Pokemon First Generation cross stitch. Well it took almost a month but they finally just shipped it. Ugh it's taking them forever so I don't think I will ever shop from that store again. Nowhere does it say that it may take a month to ship it. I just ordered a chunk of cloth it didn't need to take a month to finally ship it and then it says it will be 3 weeks before I receive it. Wow. I really need to find a better place to order some cloth from. Too bad the stores around me only carry already cut cloth and none of it was in the size I needed. It was almost the size at one place but a couple of inches short. Oh well.

Well I need to get back to my stitching because it's going to take a while to get this thing done. It was nice taking a break to post here though. I hope you all have a great day and don't run into the blahs like I have.

XOXO

Hi Hi,

Sorry I haven't posted in a couple of days. I was super busy. My fiancees Birthday was yesterday and I spent all day with him making him feel super loved and special. That also meant that I actually took the day off from my stitch work. So that was Friday and what about my neglect on Thursday? Well I was keeping busy stitching up my new cupcakes. I haven't quite finished the last one yet but they're looking really good, good enough to eat. I also spent a lot of that day making a Birthday cake and supper for my fiancee. I was busy busy.

Today I was also super busy and I am hoping to get some stitching done today. This morning I actually took a trip to Michael's the crafting store and got myself some more DMC Embroidery Floss and some 16 Count Aida Cloth. I was running low on black and white and a few other colours and I really love picking out new pretty colours. Now I just have to wind them onto the bobbins I make myself out of thin cardboard. Why buy some bobbins when you can easily make some? Especially for me since I have at least a couple hundred different colours of embroidery floss.

Just out of curiosity who else is looking forward to the Deadpool movie? I know I am super excited. It comes out right before Valentines day too. I know what I'm going to be doing with my love on that day. I made this cute little Deadpool face as a Christmas Ornament for myself a couple of years ago. I love it and I love seeing it on the tree. As always you can purchase it here at my store: https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/Taraforming . I can also make it into a magnet for your fridge or just leave it so you can sew it onto a bag or wherever you'd want to put it.

Good Afternoon!

Well yesterday was not so much a productive day. I needed a break after stitching for the past 4 days. My wrists do tend to ache after a while and my eyes were really sore. Of course in this day and age most peoples lives revolve around staring at screens from TV screens to cell phone screens and we all need to remember to take a break and actually look at the beauty of nature outside. So I did, I took a little walk to the corner store and came back. Yes it was a short walk but it was cold outside so forgive me for not wanting to stay out longer than necessary.

My fiancee came back from his weekly local Yu-Gi-Oh tournament last night saying there are these two kids he sometimes teaches how to play the game and afterwards he was talking to their mother and she gave him this great little bit of information for me of this local gathering in June where I can purchase a table and sell some of my items there. I was looking into that this morning. I was going to get a table at the two local comic cons we have here and sell some of my items as well as share the table with my fiancee who does graphic design work and makes game mats to play on for Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, and Magic the Gathering. But the local comic cons aren't until August and October.

Now I need to buckle down and make more than just my geeky cross stitch. The market for a craft gathering is more than just the gamer crowd I need to make something that will appeal to everyone. A lot of small items too. So I had these little cupcake Christmas Ornaments that I made for myself but I lost the pattern to them a long time ago. Luckily I got myself some graph paper so I can make my own patterns and I drew up a new copy of the pattern for the four cupcakes. I also picked some much better colours than what I had originally used. Originally I had some cheap embroidery floss from Wal-Mart and in the package I got some really shiny thread and I really wanted to use it so I did on the cupcakes. Now the thread is awful to work with because it is so slippery, it was really only good for when the thread knotted and I could undo the knot really easily. It was also really great to make a really long length of braided string to play with my cats with. I found they didn't chew through it as easily as normal embroidery thread and their claws didn't get stuck in it so much.

I am about to make a bunch of cupcakes now so I can attach some braided string to some for ornaments and attach some magnets onto others for fridge magnets. Wish me luck and hope that my fingers don't get too cramped up today. I don't know how many I will get done today as cross stitching is very time consuming. So I hope you all have a great day. Before I go here is a picture of the original cupcakes I made. I have them on my Christmas Tree every year and I think they are so cute.

I also have them for sale on my Etsy store here: https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/Taraforming. There you can pick some different colours for yourself if you wanted some specific colours for them. I will be updating the picture on the store soon with my new colours I have chosen as soon as I get some finished.

Thank You for reading and I hope everyone has a Fantastic day!!!

First Post For My New Cross Stitch Blog!

Good Morning! Good Morning!

Welcome to my new blog and thank you all for reading! Here I wanted to create a blog so I can talk and show you some of the things that I have Cross Stitched. I love to stitch up some geeky items. Now to start with some background.

So long ago when I was a wee little girl... maybe not that wee, I was never very wee. I don't even remember how old I was maybe 10 or 11. Anyway, my mother taught my sister and I how to cross stitch. I remember she used to bring us to Wal-mart (back when they had an awesome fabric and crafting section, sadly today they're stupid and got rid of all of the good stuff). So she brought us there and let us pick out any pattern for cross stitching that we wanted and then showed us how to start stitching. It was so nice and kept me occupied for hours, my sister not so much. Later in life I asked my mother why she taught us to stitch and she just replied with "Well I taught you so it would keep you quiet for a couple of hours."

Eventually I stopped stitching when I was a teenager. I really don't know why, I think I just lost interest in the pre made patterns. Now that I am older I wanted to create again and I remembered that I knew how to stitch. So I looked up online for some awesome stitch patterns, I bought all of the supplies I needed again and I haven't stopped. I love working with embroidery floss, just looking at all of the colours are so pretty. My favourite sized cloths to use are 16 count and 18 count Aida Cloth. I just use white but the antique stuff is really nice for an older look.

So that is my story. Now I have made my own Etsy store and I hope that I can sell enough things to work at this full time. This is my dream, it is hard work and very time consuming but I love it and I hope others will love it too. Here is the link to my Etsy store: https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/Taraforming

I have asked my Fiancee to make me a logo and a banner since he is a graphic designer and does awesome work. He's busy with work right now so hopefully by this weekend when he has some time off he can make something for me.

Well thank you for reading my first post. I will try to post something every day depending on how busy I am with working on my stitching. Now I will leave you with a picture of the first thing I stitched when I got back into stitching. I made this for my fiancee and it is currently sitting on top of a shelf in our home.
